The experiential museum shows visitors how important bees are for our environment and our lives, and shows all the work our local beekeepers do. Did you know that a honey bee needs to make 150,000 flights for 1 kilogram of honey? That it visits up to 20 million flowers and flies a distance of around 20,000 kilometres? There are countless fascinating details on the life of bees in this museum.

Celtic World in Frög Celtic World in Frög
Gods, graves and history. The mysterious time of the Hallstatt culture is brought to life in the Celtic World in Frög. Around 3,000 years ago, the Celts buried their dead in burial mounds in Frög along with valuable jewellery and weapons. In experimental archaeology, the Celtic World shows the way our ancestors lived, their culture, their world view and their social structure.

Rosegg Castle – Waxworks

Rosegg Castle – Waxworks

Rosegg Castle has been in the possession of the Liechtenstein family since 1831. It was built by one of Mozart’s biggest sponsors (photo). In 1997, they began to show the history of the castle with waxwork models. You can now see the previous lords of the castle in life-size. An exciting journey into the past!

Rosegg Wildlife Park Rosegg Wildlife Park
Enjoy an extraordinary day out with the whole family in the colourful world of the wildlife park. Look out for these animals: American bison, bald ibis, ibex, lynx, rare deer species, such as white red deer, and many more. The play area and small animal zoo with ponies, miniature donkeys, dwarf goats, rabbits and other small animals are really popular with kids.

Rosental Steam Trains & Historama Museum Rosental Steam Trains & Historama Museum
Take a journey into the past! In the Carnica Region Rosental, historic technology has been brought back to life. Enjoy a train ride in carriages pulled by steam engines. In Ferlach you will be taken to the Historama technical museum, either by vintage bus or tram. In the second largest vehicle museum in Austria there are lots of interesting exhibits, such as vintage cars, lorries, trams and many more.

Tscheppaschlucht Gorge

Tscheppaschlucht Gorge
The Tscheppaschlucht is a natural wonder with its waterfalls and is completely secured with solid footbridges and ladders and can therefore be visited by everyone. The gorge is 1.2 km long and offers unique natural spectacles such as the Tschaukofall waterfall and the rock gate. The devil’s bridge is a true highlight.
