The Rosental Valley stretches from Rosegg in the west to St. Margareten in the east, along the base of the Karawanken mountain range. Visually characterised by the Drau River, the Rosental is one of the most popular hiking regions in southern Carinthia. In addition to the wonderful Karawanken mountains, the gentle alpine meadows and hills and the crystal-clear mountain streams, there are many other attractive things to see and do – be it sporting, cultural or food-related.
The provincial capital of Klagenfurt is just as easy and quick to reach as the town of Villach. Locals and visitors all appreciate living in intact natural surroundings, whilst still not having far to go to places like the shops or the theatre.
